Acutonics Camp: What to Bring

Acutonics Camp

Mt. Shasta, CA

For Class:

  • Folding chairs (easy to carry)
  • Flashlight or head lamp
  • Yoga mat, pad or sarong for class
  • Journal and pen for class

For Camping: (This is primitive camping with a porta-potty. We will provide the kitchen.)

  • Lantern
  • Flashlight
  • Tent with a rain fly
  • Sleeping bag
  • Pad for under your sleeping bag
  • Ear plugs (really!) – sometimes I-5 is crazy loud in the Shasta valley

For Everyone:

  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Water shoes – important! Tevas or equivalent for lake and river
  • Hiking shoes or good tennis shoes
  • Bathing suit and towel
  • Water bottle

Food:

  • Cup for warm beverages and glass cold beverages
  • Bowl
  • Lunch will be provided for everyone
  • Breakfast will be provided for those students who are camping on our land

Please pack:

  • Many layers – we will be hiking above 8,00 feet. It can be quite hot, 90+ degrees, and could be cool or cold (it could even be in the 40’s) – especially if you like star gazing at night. You may even need gloves and a warm hat – you never know! For cool mornings, snuggly hang-out clothes are good.

Mt. Shasta is a casual town. We will go out for dinner, but no need to dress up. It is a mountain area – high and dry, so keep hydrated and moisturized.
